They had the makings of grunge but just the songwriting and production was glossy. Later as addiction entered the fray they got into the whole Seattle sound. The real story I know extensively because I’ve been archiving and filming a documentary for 14 years!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12749565.post-7236950223599588592024-01-24T21:48:11.203-08:002024-01-24T21:48:11.203-08:00Actually there was four almost five records. It was a great time in music then, as now, but the groups were more local. Nero's Rome got lumped in with grunge bands, but their music was hard to categorize. They really did not get their due, but that's the music industry for you. I was fortunate to see them in concert 2 or 3 times (I have video I filmed of them at the Last Chance Summer Dance in downtown Portland at the end of August 1990). I think I bought their cassette album, Labor, at one of their shows. The quality of the tape is exceptional, & I still listen to it. Need to get it digitized before it busts.Pilarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11300546058259279128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12749565.post-44260640165669648862017-03-08T18:32:15.295-08:002017-03-08T18:32:15.295-08:00Nycolle Fernandes just posted one of their albums ...Nycolle Fernandes just posted one of their albums in my facebook group, Grunge Then & Now.
