Ooo, I love the Offspring. Yeah, for some reason people make hard rock out to be a guy's thing, but I was always a nice sweet girl, and I like it more than anyone, so I try not to let the stereotypes get to me, and stand up for real women who like rock. Janis did it. Grunge, alt. rock, metal, punk, hard rock etc. are the best.Kristinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05329112538511895947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12749565.post-38752063871088410092011-09-15T17:08:54.366-07:002011-09-15T17:08:54.366-07:00i was born in 88' and had my childhood in the ...i was born in 88' and had my childhood in the 90's too but i never payed much attention to music at all lool one day in highschool a friend of mine took a cd player (yeah it was 2003-2004..) to school with the cd Smash by the offspring and i got hooked and started to look for music on the internet :D in the 1st months i must've listened to all kinds of musical styles lol but alt. rock, grunge and punk really grew on me.. i've met some people on youtube that like punk and grunge too but you're both the 1st girls i see that like this kinda music :D it's really hard to find people that like grunge (specially over here..) but i wont give up on my dream (forming a band!)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12749565.post-23636178807261837002011-09-04T13:28:55.061-07:002011-09-04T13:28:55.061-07:00Awesome! Yeah, it's great when you find people...Awesome! Yeah, it's great when you find people that are a lot like you and you never knew there was anyone else. Oh, I'm 19, well I guess now 19 and a half, so close enough. I still haven't met any people in real life that like grunge and 90s music, but it helps to see every once in a while on a youtube video stuff like, "Yeah I'm 15 and I'm the only kid in school who likes grunge too" or adults talking about how great it was and how stale it is now and how much they wish they had those times back, but I hope you keep it up, because I did see a handful of kids maybe at age 15 that would like maybe wear a Nirvana shirt once or mention their name once, and then never talk about them again and go back to liking whatever was new just because it was new, so I guess they were posers. And there wasn't even anyone to talk to about the old bands I grew up on either. But now I'm grown up and can just try and focus on practicing music and getting to Seattle, and screw the kids with teenage phases, or the ones who think you have to just do whatever the other teenagers are doing. I always just knew I'd be that 90 year old grannie still banging her head to Nevermind.Kristinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05329112538511895947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12749565.post-11930568388484101362011-09-04T08:32:21.937-07:002011-09-04T08:32:21.937-07:00Oh this is so cool! I'm like seven years younger than you are (assuming you're 20 or so) and we have basically the same taste in music!! :Dmsmdvhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11563330690917835332noreply@blogger.com
